The Babel Poetry Collective is a collection of spoken word poets, musicians, vocalists, and emcees. Babel was founded in 2008 by Malcolm Kenyatta and is based out of Temple University in Philadelphia. The collective organizes and directs showcases on campus, participates in local and national poetry slams, and has toured colleges along the East coast. Babel also facilitates free writing, performance, and social justice workshops for the North Philadelphia community.
